Artology means literally the study of Art.
We concentrate on teaching the basics of drawing and painting. Along with concepts that will not only help in those fields but may unleash more creativity in other streams of a student’s life.
How will this happen? Artology Fine Art Classes is licensed to exclusively teach The Gluck Method in its entirely to Children, Teens and Adults. This Method was developed over 40 years ago by renowned fine artist, Larry Gluck in Los Angeles where he owns the largest Fine Art program in the world with over 19 studios called Mission: Renaissance Fine Art Classes. The Gluck Method is an easy step-by-step program that will guide you through the facinating world of creating Fine Art.
Artology Fine Art Classes is owned and operated by Fine Art consultant and visual artist Susie Cortez. Susie has over twenty years experience working in the field of art education. She has also worked alongside Larry Gluck in the expansion of the Mission: Renaissance Fine Art studios. During her time with Mission: Renaissance, the company expanded from 6 locations to 20 locations and her contributions included running Kids and Adult programs, managing regions of studios, training staff, helping codify The Gluck Method and eventually becoming the Quality Assurance Director.
In 2015 Susie relocated to Dallas where she is bringing a new industry to the region. Susie also works with various charities such as Big Brother Big Sister of Greater Los Angeles, The Widows Orphans and Disabled Fireman Fund and recently with United Way.
Susie is the recipient of the 2006 Larry Gluck Artist Freedom Award for her contributions in the field of fine art education. In 2007 she received the Big Sister of the Year Award from the Big Brother Big Sister of Greater Los Angeles for bringing fine art to inner city children.
